Functions

The planning, elaboration and development of innovative and experimental programmes in the field of ICTs, social well-being, education, culture, non-sexist language and health.
The elaboration, supervision and development of training and awareness-raising activities focusing on gender equality.
Preparing programmes and activities aimed at facilitating the social and workplace integration of groups of women at risk of social exclusion by multiple discrimination.
Coordination with other Ministerial and Public Administration Departments, in order to develop courses of action that promote equal opportunities within its sphere of operations.
The publication and transmission of surveys, studies and reports focusing on women.
Monitoring compliance with equal opportunities legislation in the intervention of Structural Funds on a national level, through the Equality Policy Network (2007 - 2013)
Coordination and supervision of action co-financed by the Structural Funds (ESF, ERDF), as well as introducing a gender perspective into European Funds.
